I finally did it!

I registered to run in a 5k on Good Friday. I have no doubt I can do the distance - I'm just worried about how long it will take. I think my best mile has been slightly over 11 minutes, so I'm pretty sure I'll get left in the dust, but if I want to run a Half Marathon in September I'm going to have to get some race experience. I'm so used to running early mornings in the dark - it will be a real challenge to run with other people in daylight.

Spring Forward

I have to believe that Spring is almost here. It was quite warm for a few days last week, but has gone back to sub-zero today. I was really enjoying some serious outdoor runs, but I was forced back to the gym this morning by high winds and cold temps. I don't mind the cold so much, but the wind is wicked.

I'm back on anti-depressants. I can't control the anxiety with exercise any more so I think it's for the best. We're trying a new drug this time around, and so far so good. No serious side effects and I'm not as bingey as I have been since Christmas.

The bus company has changed my route for this semester. I'm not very happy about it because I never got a chance to say goodbye to the boys. I'm carrying booster seats now, which means smaller and younger children and they all have serious behaviour issues.

The days are getting longer and it won't be long before we can start spending time outside. We saw one robin on Monday and now they're all over the place. Bluejays are back and Renee's dog killed two groundhogs and a skunk the other day. Yup - Spring is here. Now if it would just get warm!!
